Bio

DJ / Producer Dwayne Minard’s uplifting mix of chunky, funky & electro house has made him a staple in the Toronto gay scene for the last three years. His booty shaking UK style has landed him regular stints at Fly Nightclub, Soma and lub lounge in Toronto as well as high profile gigs in London, England (Salvation, The End & House FM), Miami (Winter Party ‘06) & Vancouver (Bar None, Boys Afloat – White Party).

In March 2005, Dwayne & his production partner Gavin Bradley (known together as Righteous) saw the release of their first single Soul Clappin’ on Refunkt Trax in the UK. A hand’s in the air, filtered disco anthem Soul Clappin’ made waves in the UK club scene and charted in the top 30 of DJ Magazine. Their follow up single for Refunkt “Love is Love” ft. MJ White hit the shelves in February 2006 and received support from the likes of Juke Joint, Deko Ze & Jack N Daniels. That support for the single helped land “Love is Love” on internationally acclaimed compilation label Hed Kandi’s – Disco Heaven 2006 cd. Their much sought after, unreleased remix of Nelly Furtado’s single Try is currently n in regular rotation on Chum FM & Proud FM in Toronto. They are currently in the studio working on several projects as Righteous and their alternate ego White Punks on Dope.
