BIO
From the beginning, Stéfane Lippé's career as a DJ has been fabulous.
He quickly knew how to build a solid reputation of excellence, while
gaining the respect of Montreal's clubbing community. As early as
the year 2000, his popularity started increasing dramatically, thanks
to the Club Sky's Happy Hours in Montreal, and his specific Deep
Funky Vocal sound.
In 2001, his dreams became a reality when Les Productions S.P.P.
(www.gospp.com) offered him his first dedicated DJ residency. Stéfane
became the monthly super star of the very popular event called Dimanche
Church. Thanks to his very fluid spinning technique, his tempered
style often comprised of FUNKYTECHTRIBALISM and great vocals, Stéfane
won the heart of his diversified customers, all falling in love
with his music's incredible energy.
In 2002, Stéfane entered the world's major dance events. These events
included his starring role as a DJ at the Bad Boy Club Montreal'
Twist Party (www.bbcm.org), along with DJ Paulette. In August, Stéfane
played at the after hours club Aria (www.aria.com) during Divers
Cité's (www.diverscite.org) closing events at Pride Ball. He played
at Aria for 3 consecutives years, along with DJ Rob Di Stefano,
owner of TWISTED records and Peter Rauhofer. Stéfane DJ'ed the 12th
edition of the Bad Boy Club Montreal's Black & Blue Festival, where
he played along with DJ James Anderson (NYC) during the closing
event called Recovery Party held at Club Métropolis. It is also
in 2002 that Stéfane takes control of the music at Montreal's Club
Unity 2. On December 31st, Stéfane ends the year with STEREOMOVERS
(www.stereomovers.ca) during a New Year's Eve special event.
The year 2003 had been a fabulous year for Stéfane. He signed with
the major gay club in Montreal, better known as Parking (www.parkingbar.com
where he was signed to play two Saturdays every month. He also made
his grand entrance into Canada's metropolis, Toronto. There he was
signed to play one Saturday every five weeks at the famous Club
FLY (www.flynightclub.com). In 2003, Stéfane makes his entrance
into the very popular after hours club STEREO (www.stereo-nightclub.com)
along with DJ Stephan Grondin (www.stephangrondin.com). Later that
year, Stephan is featured in the city of Vancouver, on the west
coast of Canada, at the club GORG-O-MISH (www.gorg-o-mish.com).
A loyal following was soon established. During New Year's Eve on
December 31st 2003, Stéfane shared the turntables with DJ David
Knapp at Club FLY in Toronto. Following the major success of this
event, Club FLY immediately booked Stéfane's services for New Year's
Eve 2004.
Stéfane Lippe is now becoming a renowned DJ. The new after hours
club CIRCUS (www.circusafterhours.com) granted Stefane a monthly
residency. Stéfane had a huge success playing twice at STEREO during
the event called Finally Paris, along with DJ Tracy Young. The crowds
noticed his insatiable Queer as Folk Future Babylon Tour, where
he shared the turntables with DJ Manny Lehman.
In 2004, Stéfane played twice in Europe. One of his tours lasted
three weeks. He spun at Élysée Montmartre for the party Finally,
and Man Ray (www.spiritofstar.com) for the party Go during Gay Pride
in Paris. His tour also included Club Kingdown for the party Joystick
during Gay Pride in Cologne, at Nice's club Le Klub, and again in
Paris at the Red Light Club and twice at Marseille's Spartacus…
In August of 2004, for Gay Pride Montreal, Stéfane spun before a
crowd of 30,000 people during the huge event of La Grande Danse.
Following the success of this event, Stéfane was immediately booked
for the 2005 edition. As recently as February of 2005, Stéfane played
at the Underground Legacy, along with DJ's Robert De La Gauthier,
Tiga and Rob Di Stefano.
The next major step for Stéfane will be the production of music,
while keeping his residencies in Montreal and Toronto. Stéfane has
become the clubbing's rising star in North America. Combining his
energy, talent, and club experience, he knows how to please the
variety of crowds... and make them dance for hours on end. |
